Team Agny Wins TTXGP
Team Agny won the Pro Class category of the Isle of Man’s inaugural TTXGP – a time trial competition open only to two-wheelers powered by clean emissions technologies.
Team Agny completed the 37.733-mile circuit featuring more than 200 corners in 25minutes 53.5 seconds with an average speed of 87.434mph. Thomas Schoenfelder from Team XXL and Mark Buckley from Team Brammo completed the three-place podium.
The fastest bike through the official speed trap was piloted by Shoefelder on the XXL machine with a speed of 106.5mph
While it was the third place finisher overall, the Brammo Enertia ridden by Scotland’s Buckley was the first place finishing production-based bike.
The Brammo bikes - prepared in Oregon - reached top speeds exceeding 102mph, amongst the fastest in the field, and turned consistent average race lap speeds of over 75mph.
“I think the bike had a bit more in it, but we have to be happy with third overall,” said Brammo rider Buckley.
“Our engineers were able to learn so much about the performance potential of electric motorcycles and Brammo will continue to apply this knowledge to the Enertia and future Brammo production models,” said Brammo Director of Product Development Brian Wismann.
The bike raced by San Francisco-based Mission Motors finished in sixth place behind both Brammo teams and with a speed trap speed of 88.3mph.
Ok, this isn’t a dealer story – Best Buy will begin selling Brammo Enertia street bikes in select Best Buy stores in America beginning this summer – but it is obviously motorcycle industry news worthy of coverage.
