ATTENTION ALL BIKE SHOPS all of you should read...

Over the last couple of weeks our outside parts sales guy has been contacted by a few people asking about setting up for overseas shipping.  Here is more of the full story:

first guy contacts our guy, says he's from florida and needs to get ahold of a S&S 93 inch Shovelhead.  (Luckily for us this motor has been pulled from inventory for revamping, and will be on back order for two more weeks.)  So we give him a quote for the engine and for shipping to Florida, and he wants to fax me his CC info.  I get the fax from him, the CC is billing addressed in California and he want to ship to Singapore!

Second guy wants three BDL belt drives, we send him quotes and he send us CC info.  He wants these items shipped to Singapore.

Third guy has not sent us any info yet, but also wants an engine and wants it shipped to Singapore.

The first two who have sent me info, both have the same ship to address in Singapore.  Different names, different Credit Cards and after a background check on the first guys CC billing info we find out that the person who's name is on that CC died in Dec of 2000!

I spent yesterday on the phone with the FTC and AZ Secret Service, and also American Express and my Merchant Account rep.  THEY ALL SAID DO NOT PROCESS THESE CARDS!  No confirmation yet that it is a scam but the lady from the FTC said it sounds like a Nigerian scam.  All the totals for these would-be transactions were over $7000.00.

Long-winded I know, but I need all of you to beware these potential scams!  Their mistake was in contacting both our parts guy and myself seperately.  I'm still in the process of verifying all the info given to me and will update you all when I find out more.
